Weather is still affecting spring sports schedules

The weather is still affecting baseball and softball schedules this week.

South Panola Fastpitch

The South Panola fastpitch team played New Hope yesterday. Wednesday, the Jr. Varsity Lady Tigers will host Arlington, Tenn. at 1:30 p.m. in the teams’ first home game of the season.

Following that game, the varsity will host Lafayette County at 2:30 p.m.

The team will travel to Southaven tonight for games starting at 5:30 p.m.

Next week the Lady Tigers will play in the Clarkdale Tournament, near Meridian. Friday, they will face Neshoba Central on Field 4 at 5 p.m. and Harrison Central on Field 3 at 8 p.m.

Saturday, March 19, they will play New Hope on Field 1 at 11:30 a.m. and Northwest Rankin on Field 2 at 2:30 p.m.

North Delta Baseball

North Delta’s district game against Marshall Academy Tuesday was postponed until today at 5 p.m.

The teams played a district doubleheader in Holly Springs yesterday, but the scores were not available at press time.
