Hunter Bishop belted a three-run home run and a pair of doubles as the visitors plated 11 runs in the first inning. Eli Murphree added a three-run triple and a double. Houston Boothe’s infield single in top of the second inning proved to be Batesville’s only hit.

The Tigers lone scoring threat came in the top of the second by loading the bases with one out but Arrington fanned the next two batters to end the inning. Macen McGee took the pitching loss for Batesville.

In the nightcap, Murphree tossed a four-inning no-hitter as the ‘Dores plated four runs in the second and six runs in the fourth. Joby Ellington struck out eight in three innings of work for Batesville. Braiden Scott pitched the final inning.

The Jr. High Tigers will be home Thursday to host Clarksdale in a double header. They will play at American Legion Field at 5 and 7 p.m.
