Hattiesburg taps SP coach for head job
Hattiesburg High School announced South Panola offensive coordinator Trey Dickerson as its new head coach.
Dickerson has been part of the South Panola Tiger coaching staff the last four seasons as the team amassed a 58-2 record and this year was named the national champions.
Dickerson replaces five-year coach Doug Hoehn, who resigned to take a position in Alabama.
Hattiesburg finished last season 4-7 overall, 3-4 district. In 2009 Hattiesburg finished 6-6 and lost in the first round of playoffs.
A press conference has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday to officially present Dickerson as the new head coach. He starts his post on Monday.
