North Panola’s Ricky Hunt helped put his school on the map with a stellar performance in the Bernard Blackwell All-Star Football Classic Saturday.

Hunt was named the offensive MVP (Most Valauble Player) and helped lead the North to a 19-14 victory.

He had five catches for 109 yards and his catches helped set up the two touchdowns.

Hunt was a relatively unknown entity from a school which went 1-9 on the football season although his performances got him recognition.

“I don’t know who I spoke to,” Hunt said Monday morning. “There were so many people.”

Hunt was proud to have so many people there to cheer him on including his parents, siblings, principle Demond Radcliff and teammate Martavious Butler.

This game prepared him to play on the college level, according to Hunt. He does not know where that will be yet. He thinks maybe Northwest but he is waiting on his ACT score which he took December 11.
