Representatives of South Panola High School’s Student Council manned a display promoting the Great American Smokeout Thursday, joining a representative of the South Panola Community Coalition for the project sponsored by the Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition of Panola, Tate and Pontotoc Counties. Cooley’s Mortuary provided a hearse and coffin which challenged smokers to consider the ultimate quitting technique and challenged them to take immediate steps to break the tobacco habit.
