Randall Lee Collins

BATESVILLE— Randall Lee Collins, 53, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, in Yalobusha County, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Batesville Church of Christ. Michael Bates will officiate. Visitation will be held today at noon at Batesville Church of Christ. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Collins, born Feb. 20, 1957, in Memphis, to Martha Louise Deaton Collins and Russell V. Collins Jr. of Pope, was a retired street superintendant for the City of Batesville.

Survivors along with his parents, include: his wife, Jan Pepper Collins of Batesville; two daughters, Katy White of Batesville and Stephanie Anthony of Marks; one son, Joshua Collins of Batesville; one sister, Brenda Collins Dixon of Pope and three grandchildren.

Audrey J. Johnson

WATER VALLEY— Audrey J. Johnson, 77, died Friday,  April 23, 2010, at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley.

Services were Sunday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Hal Johnson officiated. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park.  Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Johnson, born Dec. 31, 1932, in Memphis, to the late Martha E. and Audrey B. Warren, was a member of Courtland Church of Christ, worked as a clerk at Fred’s for many years and Panola Inc. (the girdle factory). She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. “Billy” Daniels and her aunt who raised her, due to the early death of her parents, Beula Holley.

Survivors include: her daughter, Diana Lynn Miller of Water Valley; one son, Michael Ray Daniels of Sardis; eight grandchildren, Michael P. Daniels, Melissa A. Daniels Cook, Kimberly Hudson Ballard, Brian Hudson, Brad Hudson, D. Carson Harris, Amber Harris White and Nathan Harris; great-grandchildren, Jacob Daniels, Luke Daniels, Hunter Cook, Victoria Hopper, Corey Hopper, Chris Hopper, Madeline Hudson, M. Brianne Harris, Katherine Kesterson, Savannah White and Brian White.

 Sammie Frank Utz

BATESVILLE— Sammie Frank Utz, 80, died April 23, 2010, at Golden Living Nursing Home.

Services were Monday at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Ellis officiated. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Utz was born March 30, 1930, to the late Benjamin Franklin and Ruth Ballard Utz.

Survivors include: one son, Frank Wayne Utz of Pope; one daughter, Judy Utz Bell of Ramer, Tenn.; one sister, Irene Utz Topper of Rena Lara; four brothers, Billy Utz of Huntsville, Ala., Jimmy Utz, Freddie Utz and Teddy Utz, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
