Some North Delta field participants qualified for State competition next Friday.

Jeremiah Watson placed third in the long jump with a distance 18’4”. Ethan Frink placed third in the triple jump with a combined jump of 38’10”.

Conor Ferguson qualified by placing second in shot put with a throw of 41’4”.

Will Reynolds was second in the discus with a throw of 115’and fourth in the shot put with a throw of 38’8”.

Following the track preliminaries, the North Delta team is in second place. Finals will be run Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at Lee Academy in Clarksdale.

ND Golf

The North Delta golf team placed second in the Clarksdale Lee Invitational Monday. Top four scorers from North Delta were Bailey Guckert and Sean King, 82 each; Corbin Baker and Levi Garner, 85 each.

The team will participate in North State at Dogwoods in Grenada Monday beginning at 9 a.m. The state match will be held Tuesday, May 4 in Meridian.
