Violet “Nell” Massey

SARDIS— Violet “Nell” Massey, age 88, of Sardis, died of heart failure on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Sardis Nursing Home in Sardis.

Graveside funeral services will were held Monday, February 1, at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Lee Funeral Home in Winona had charge.

Massey was the daughter of the late James Hanley and Martha Lillian Williams Greenlee.  She was a former dorm mother at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia and a member of the Abundant Life Church in Pope.

Survivors include her husband, Boyce Massey of Senatobia; daughter, Yvonne Shallish of Sardis; granddaughter, Tracy Hollingshead (Lee) of Jackson, TN; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Amanda Hollingshead.

Terryfae M. Pratt

 DYERSBURG, Tenn.—Terryfae M. Pratt, 54, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Jackson Madison County  General Hospital. She was the sister of Patti Chadwick of Batesville.

She was preceded in death by one son Daniel Minor Pratt.

Services were Saturday, January 30 at Chapel Curry Funeral Home. Rev. Leonard Ballinger officiated. Curry Funeral Home had charge.

Pratt, born to Betty Jane Minor of St. Petersburg, Fla. and the late Irvin George Minor, was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors along with her daughter and sister include: her husband, Charles Ray Pratt of Dyersburg; two daughters, Amanda Elaine Finch of Dyersburg and Amy Elizabeth Pratt of Troy, Tenn.; one son, Charles Anthony Pratt of Dyersburg; three sisters, Nancy Huntley of Lewisburg, Elsi Wright of Marshfield, Wis., Sandy Montgomery of Redford, Mich.; one brother, Gary Minor of St. Petersburg, Fla. and six grandchildren.
