Local School Closings;
ND Closed Friday

North Delta has made the decision to close school on Friday due to the low temperatures and concern for heating, according to headmaster John Howell Jr. School is expected to resume normal operations on Monday, January 11.

South Panola, North Panola and North Delta Schools are closed on Thursday as early morning snow covers the ground. The schools made the decisions around 6 a.m.

Neighboring county schools have also announced closing in Lafayette County and Oxford School District, Tate County, Senatobia City Schools, Magnolia Heights, Northwest Community College-all campuses, Quitman County Schools, Delta Academy, Lee Academy, Yalobusha County Schools and Clarksdale Municipal Schools.
