Thomas Junior Anthony

Batesville – Thomas Junior Anthony, 57, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at his residence.

Services were Thursday at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Rev. Jimmy Dale Anthony officiated. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Anthony was born on Oct. 31, 1951, to the late T.B. Anthony and Pauline Brewer Anthony.

He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas “Bubba” Anthony.

Survivors include: his wife, Debra Charlene Marrs Anthony of Batesville; two daughters, Vanessa Russell Welch and her husband, Mark of Batesville; and Jennifer Feister of Canton, Mich.; two sons, Donald Feister and his wife, Amy of Wine Dot, Mich. and Ronald Feister of Canton; three sisters, Bonnie Sue Manuel and her husband, John of Senatobia, Donna Ann Tindall and her husband, Barry of Hattiesburg and Sonia Renee Holly and her husband Phillip of Fulton; three brothers, Larry Anthony and his wife, Cheryl of Pope, Jimmy Anthony of Batesville and Gary Anthony and his wife, Vickie of Liberty, Texas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Charlie Ann Barton

CHARLESTON – Charlie Ann Barton, 80, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Paynes Baptist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Garden. Visitation will be held today at 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston has charge.

Barton was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George.

Survivors include: two daughters, Diane Barton Mabus and Mary Jo Barton Harrison, both of Charleston; one son, George Moore Barton of Moscow, Tenn.; two sisters, Vivian Bridges and Mary Watts, both of Batesville; one brother, Jimmy Murphree of Englewood, Colo.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Stanley D. Brower

Batesville – Stanley D. Brower, 58, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at VA Medical Center in Memphis.

Services will be held today at 4 p.m. at National Funeral Home. Rev. Gene Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 3 p.m. until service time. National Funeral Home in Clarksdale has charge.

Brower, born April 16, 1951, to Helen Stewart Brower of Batesville and the late Clinton B. Brower Jr., was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors along with his mother include: two sisters, Melinda Smithson of Bruce and Crystal Morgan of Osceola, Ark.; three brothers, Terrace Brower of Batesville, Richard Brower of Clarksdale and David Brower of Springdale, Ark.

Molly Idell Brewer Everett

CANTON,  Texas– Molly Idell Brewer Everett, 84, formerly of Batesville, died Monday, June 1, 2009.

Services were Wednesday at Eubank Chapel in Canton. Rev. Jack Thompson officiated. Eubank Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery in Martin’s Mill, Texas.

Everett, born Feb. 28, 1925, in Muleshoe, Texas, to Silas Sanford and Artie Meldie Goodwin Tidwell, was a Baptist. She lived in the Fort Worth area for many years. In 1959 she moved to Batesville and then in 1989 moved to Canton. After working in a sewing factory for many years she became self employed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Brewer; one son, Jerry Sides; one step-son, James “Buddy” Brewer; one step-daughter, Becky Benton and a grandson, Devon Sides.

Survivors include: one son, James Sides Sr. of Canton, Texas; one daughter, Patsy Jean Able of Texas; three step-daughters, Sherry Wieronski of Colorado, Ruby Lucking of Memphis and Patricia Cox of Lindale, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Riney of Canton; three grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
