REED, Willie J.
    
SENATOBIA – Willie J. Reed, 79, died Monday, January 8, 2007, at his residence.
     Services were Saturday at Gospel Temple Church of God in Christ. Burial was in Paradise Cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.
     Reed, was a member of Paradise M.B. Church and a farmer.
     Survivors include: five daughters, Lucille Jackson, Lue Dean Carter and Doris Reed, all of Senatobia, Gwen Gail and Annette Gail, both of Memphis; eight sons, Robert Reed of Como, Willie Reed Jr. of Memphis, Joseph Reed of Senatobia, Jessie Reed of Tomoca, Wash., Desia Reed of Souix Fall, South Dakota, Bobby Gail, Otis Gail and Curtis Gail, all of Memphis; 40 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.


RICHARDSON, Chad A.
    
COURTLAND – Chad A. Richardson, 32, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.
     Graveside services were Monday at Forrest Memorial Park. Rev. Todd Pittman officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
     Richardson was born Sept. 25, 1974, in Batesville to Harry Lee and Diane Richardson Heafner of Courtland.
     Survivors along with his parents include: his daughter, Allie Richardson of Courtland; two sisters, Jennifer Heafner of Courtland and Allison Heafner Hodges of Gulfport; three brothers, Scotty Heafner of Pulaski, Tenn., Eric Heafner of Courtland and Bryan Heafner of Charleston and his grandmother, Juanita Richardson of Courtland.

ROACH, Patsy Louise
     OAKLAND – Patsy Louise Roach, 72, died Friday, March 2, 2007, at Grenada Lake Medical Center.
     Services are today at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Garner-Harper Funeral Home of Grenada. Rev. Clay Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Kennett, Mo. Garner-Harper Funeral Home has charge.
     Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service.
     She was preceded in death by her husband Sonny Roach and one son, Ronnie Roach.
     Survivors include: two sons, David Roach of Reynolds, N.D. and Brian Roach of Pope; five daughters, Carla Willis of Enid, Donna R. Bailey, Susan R. Wiggins, and Crystal R. Taylor, all of Oakland, and Rebecca McGee of Duck Hill; three brothers, Thomas J. Goodrich of Kennett, Mo., Harold L. Goodrich of Fort Worth, Texas and Stanley Goodrich of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one sister, Peggy Goodrich of San Marcus, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.


ROBERSON, James "Jimmy" Michael
    
CROWDER – James "Jimmy" Michael Roberson, 53, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
     Memorial services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Crowder Assembly of God. Murphy Eubanks will officiate.
     Roberson, born Oct. 23, 1953, to Alice Little Roberson of Crowder and the late James "J.W." Walter Roberson, was a graduate of Delta State University and a member of Crowder Assembly of God. He was a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and stationed in Thailand. He was also retired from First Security Bank where he was a long time employee.
Survivors along with his mother include: two sisters, Jean Roberson Gatlin of Hernando and Ruby Roberson Harris of Memphis; one niece, Candy Perlin of Olive Branch; one nephew, Chris Harris of Atlanta, Ga.; his aunt Ruby Little Darby of Crowder; his aunt and uncle, Sam and Maxine Little of Crowder and his best friends, Ricky and Theresa Cannon of Crowder.


ROBERTS, Daniel James
    
COURTLAND – Daniel James Roberts, 52, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.
     Services are today at 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Chapel. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Oakland. Newsom Funeral Home has charge.
     Roberts was a construction worker.
     Survivors include: his wife, Sherry Nelson Roberts; one daughter, Brandy Roberts Avant of Carrollton; two sons, Shane Roberts of Batesville and Hunter Roberts of Courtland; his mother, Sarah "Sadie" Roberts of Oakland; one sister, Sharon Roberts Henry of Batesville; two brothers, Ronnie Roberts of Oakland and Barry Roberts of Batesville and two grandchildren.


ROBINSON, Burl Sr.
    
SARDIS – Burl Robinson Sr., 94, died Friday, February 16, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
     Services are today at 1 p.m. at Harrisonville M.B. Church in Oxford. Rev. L.C. Kilson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Henderson Funeral Home has charge.
     Robinson, born June 9, 1912, to the late Burl Robinson and the late Nettie Johnson Robinson, was a retired farmer and a member of Harrisonville M.B. Church.
     Survivors include: three daughters, Lucille Lanton of Sardis, Louise Hoskins of Tupelo and Josephine Show of Glendall, Ariz.; two sons, Burl Robinson Jr. of Sardis and Walter B. Robinson of Coldwater; 28 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.


ROWSEY, Irwin Alexander
    
POPE – Irwin Alexander Rowsey, 86, died Monday, April 9, 2007, at Regional Medical Center in Memphis due to complications from a vehicle accident in Pope.
     Services are today at 2 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home. Rev. Clay Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.
     Rowsey, born Sept. 27, 1920, to the late Virgil J. and Loice M. Hentz Rowsey, was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church.
     He is survived by his sister, Virgie Aileene Henley of Pope.
     Pallbearers include: Ed Helms, Vic Wardlaw, Ebb Hentz, Chad Wardlaw, Brad Wardlaw and Tommy Rowsey.


RUDD, Minister Tony L.
    
BATESVILLE – Minister Tony L. Rudd, 40, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.
     Services are Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Gillion M.B. Church in Sardis. Pastor Odell Draper Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation is today at 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary and also Saturday 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Gillion M.B. Church. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
     Rudd, born May 5, 1966, in Batesville, to Mattie Jordan Rudd of Batesville and the late Foster Rudd Jr., was a minister and a member of St. Peter M.B. Church in Sardis, where he was also a Sunday School teacher. He was also a self-employed truck driver.
     Survivors along with his mother, include: his wife, Carla Rudd of Batesville; four daughters, Antoinette C. Rudd, Marla R. Rudd, Chylana S. Rudd and Brittney M. Hall, all of Batesville; three sisters, Shari Hamilton, Wanda Rudd and Tavara Rudd, all of Batesville and three brothers, Minister Earnest L. Rudd and Anthony Rudd, both of Batesville and Bennie Earl Rudd of Sardis.


RUSSELL, Billy Doyle
     LAMBERT – Billy Doyle Russell, 66, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale.
     Services were Monday at Community Independent Baptist Church near Lambert. Raymond Roberson officiated. Burial was in Lambert Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.
     Russell, born March 18, 1940, was a farmer.
     Survivors include: five daughters, Mary Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Tonya Moore, all of Lambert, Bonnie Moore Williams of Brazil and Connie Russell; two sons, Roger Moore of Great Falls, Mt. and Glenn Moore of Lambert; 10 brothers, Johnny Green, Butch Green and Paul Green, all of Lambert, Calvin Green and Jerry Green, both of Marks, Junior Green of Memphis, Junior Russell, Larry Russell, both of Marks and Jimmy and Shorty Russell, both of Batesville; nine sisters, Mary Bell Turner and Ruby Lee Engleburg, both of Duck Hill, Shirley Stewart of Water Valley, Ruby Roberson of Lambert, Ann Green of Greenwood, Minnie Roberson of Lambert, Juanita Parker, Brenda Russell and Glenda Russell, all of Batesville and eight grandchildren.
