Rebecca Kilpatrick, 83

Rebecca “Sue” Hinson Kilpatrick, age 83, born April 21, 1938 in Hohenwald, Tennessee to Luther Allen Hinson and Lady B. Hinson Churchwell passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2022 at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, but also attended Good Hope Baptist Church in Batesville. Sue was a kind and loving person who loved her family deeply.

A devoted wife and mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ruby Kilpatrick; parents, sister, Jessie Lillian Smith; two brothers, James Lee Churchwell and Thomas “Tommy” Wayne Churchwell; as well, she is preceded by one granddaughter, Courtney Paige Kilpatrick and one great-grandchild, Everrest Luxe Langston.

She is survived by her cherished caregiver and granddaughter, Desiree Tidwell of Batesville; two daughters, Rita Jeanette Saltsman (Robert) Oxford,  Rhonda Ann Tidwell Turner (Tony) Oakland, TN; three sons, Terry Lee Kilpatrick (Sarah) Senatobia,  Danny Wayne Kilpatrick of Selmer, TN, and Timothy Kevin Kilpatrick (Karen) Water Valley; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will occur on Friday, Feb. 18,  at 2 p.m. at Forrest Memorial Park, 24017 Hwy 6 E, Batesville, MS prior to her inurnment. Officiating her service will be Rev. Kyle Conner and Rev. Brad Burnett.
