It wasn’t much, and didn’t last long, but Batesville and Panola County got a wet blanket of snow early Sunday. Although much of the snow melted away in less than a day it was enough for children to play in and others to snap pretty photos, including this one taken in west Panola by reader Whitney French of a snowy field covered with specklebelly geese.
