Deadline for returning qualification papers for South Panola School District Board of Trustees is Friday, Sept. 6, at 5 p.m. Up this year is the District 2 seat currently held by Lygunnah Bean, a longtime member of the school board.

The race will be on the ballot of the General Election set for Nov. 5. Anyone who is a resident of that school board seat’s election district can pick up the necessary paperwork at the Circuit Clerk’s office at the Batesville Courthouse.

In the North Panola School District, the District 1 seat of Deborah Armstrong is up for election this year. Qualifying papers may be picked up at the Sardis Courthouse until 5 p.m. Friday.
