John Joseph Baldwin, Jr., 73,  died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at his home in Batesville.

He was born Nov.12, 1945, to the late John Joseph Baldwin and Beatrice Eleanor Long Baldwin in Philadelphia, Pa. He worked as a computer technician, and was of the Catholic faith.

Funeral services for Rita Renee Crump, 57, of Como, will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. at Hammond Hill M.B. Church in Senatobia. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Felix Cauthen Funeral Home.

She died Aug. 14, 2019, at her home.  Visitation is today (Aug. 23) from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Vincent Earl Davis, Jr., 22, of Sardis, died Aug. 19, 2019, in Memphis. He was born Nov. 8, 1996, in Southaven to Vincent and Mandra Davis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, at noon at North Panola High School. Burial will be at Longtown Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home.

Visitation is today (Aug. 23) from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home in Sardis.

 

 

Dan Mason, 81, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, in Oxford. Visitation will be today (Aug. 23) from noon to 1 p.m.  at Coleman Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow. Bro. Fish Robinson will officiate.

He was born in Panola County. He served in the U.S.  Army Mississippi National Guard for nine  years. He was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church.

 

Floyd McGee Sr, age 75, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at Baptist DeSoto in Southaven.

Funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 19, in the Chapel of Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston. Interment followed in Magnolia Garden Cemetery in Paynes.

Floyd was an avid fisherman, hunter, country music fan and a retired member of Carpenter’s Union.

Those whom he leaves behind include his wife Betty McGee of Coldwater; one daughter Cynthia Diane McGee of Grenada; four sons Floyd Everette McGee Jr. of Charleston; Richard Amos McGee of Charleston; Bobby Gene McGee (Cynthia F.) of Batesville; John Jones of Coldwater; two sisters Alice Heath of Grenada; Stella Tranum of Hernando; one brother Larry McGee of Charleston; eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Amos and Lizzie McGee, one daughter Dina McGee, two sisters and nine brothers.

Newsom Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

 

Funeral services for Evelyn Croff Wade, 59, of New Orleans, will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Longtown Cemetery.
