Batesville Municipal Court was held Wednesday, Aug.14, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.
David T. Downs, 222 Van Voris St., Batesville, was fined $250 for violation of the city’s junk ordinance and $362 for non-payment of old fines.
Ray Patton, 212 Claude St., Batesville, had a violation for breaking the junk ordinance continued until Aug. 28, but was ordered to pay $1,757 in old fines due in 60 days.
Mya D. Full, 1290 West Reed Rd., Starkville, had a charge of simple possession of marijuana continued to a later date.
Michael D. Gray, 641 Ridgecrest Dr., Pope, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana in a vehicle and was fined $683
Tameshia L. Holmes, 107 Crossroad,Oxford, had a simple assault charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution.
Gregory Pride, Sr.,105 Hemlock, Batesville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of domestic violence and was given a Sept. 4 trial date.
Jamie A. Iley, 26 Longview Dr.,Grenada, was found guilty of shoplifting and fined $1,146
Christy Moudy, 18467 Hwy. 51, Sardis, had a contempt of court charge dismissed.
Jennifer Sena, 12 CR192, Batesville, pleaded guilty to contempt of court and was ordered to pay $1,391 due in 60 days.
Robert D. Stewart, 2114 Shiloh Rd., Courtland, pleaded guilty to contempt of court and ordered to pay $1,402 due in 60 days.
Michael Ragsdale, 12 Calvin Lane, Sardis, had a charge of sale of a controlled substance bound over to the Panola Co. Grand Jury.
Jhanicholas A. Hunt, 913 S.18th St., Oxford, had charges of two counts of sexual battery and one count of statutory rape bound over to the Panola Co. Grand Jury.
Kristopher A. Griste, 1432 Central Academy Rd., Batesville, made a initial appearance on charges of attempted breaking and entering, burglary, petit larceny and shoplifting. The case was bound over to the Panola Co. Grand Jury.
Justin Fletcher, 712 Bethlehem Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to trespassing and malicious mischief and was given credit for time served. Fletcher also had a felony possession of a controlled substance charge bound over to the Panola Co. Grand Jury.
In cases set for trial,
LaShundra Black, 307 Church St. Apt.3, Como, was found guilty of running a red light and fined $181.
Adam Corley, 301 China Rd., Pope, was found guilty of disorderly conduct and given credit for time served.
