Batesville beauty Charley Ann Nix is competing for the Miss Mississippi crown this week. Preliminary activities and judging began Wednesday and continue through tonight. The pageant is Saturday and can be seen locally on Mississippi Public Broadcasting stations. Nix, a graduate of North Delta School and the University of Mississippi (Biochemistry), has been accepted into the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy Class of 2023. The 22-year-old daughter of Chuck Nix and Margaret Nix was a Lucky Day Scholar and a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority at Ole Miss.
