Judge Gaines Baker had a light Sardis Municipal Court docket Thursday morning.

Janet Ray, no address given, pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct. She paid $25 on her old fine of $221 and will return to trial March 21.

Bobby Pettit, no address, pleaded guilty to loud music and driving while his license suspended. He had old fines of $946. His total was $1,565.25 with the new fines. He paid $200.

James George, 173 Howell Road, Potts Camp, appeared in court to answer charges of disregarding of a traffic device and expired driver’s license. He pleaded guilty to the charge but Judge Baker offered to drop the license charge if he gets one before the March 21 court date. He was fined $516.

Mary Alice Corley, 11056 Curtis Road, Batesville, charge for disregarding the traffic device will be remanded to the file upon approval by ticketing officer approval as it was a new stop sign on Pocahontas in Sardis that she did not know had been installed.

Jahari Love,  no address, has to return to court March 21 to answer charges of possession of two firearms in a moving vehicle with marijuana, seatbelt violation and no driver’s license. He has a permit for the guns but since he had drugs in the car with the firearms, there are some things the state has to approve for them to be returned to him, Judge Baker said.

Deiontei Rayshad Ballard, 13323B Hwy 315, Sardis, entered  a guilty plea for disregarding for a traffic device and possession of marijuana in a moving vehicle. He was fined $561 and put on probation to pay off the fine.

Lavonzelle Hill, no address given, pleaded not guilty to shoplifting. Her case was continued to March 21. Judge Baker ordered her to pay $200 on March 21 on her old fines of $624.

Others on the docket who did not show up to court included:

Terry Anderson, 206 Calvary St., Batesville was charged with disregard for a traffic device and was fined $223.

Sheena Rochell Askov, 503 S. Pocahontas St., Sardis, was charged $176.25 for violation of the dog leash law.

Dorothy Lynn Boles, 221 CR 294, Water Valley, was charged with disregard for a traffic device and no insurance. She was fined $634.

Montravyvious M. Boyce, 479 Court St., Coldwater was charged with no driver’s license and fined $293.

Tyrus Jerome Buttler, 1175 Edward Rd., Sardis, failed to appear for improper equipment and no driver’s license. He was fined $486.

Willie Earl Cauthern, 249 Mount Level Rd., Sardis, was charged with improper equipment and charged $193.

Courtney Jarell Dillard, 6295 Heather Cove, Horn Lake, was charged with no insurance and was charged $411.

MacArthur Draper, 145 Fudgetown Road, Batesville was charged with driving while license suspended, loud music, no driver’s license, open container and possession of marijuana. The charges date back to November 1, 2018. Total fines are $1,565.

William Earl Edwards, 19059 Hwy 315 West, Sardis was charged with disregard for a traffic device, no driver’s license, and no insurance for a total fine of $927.

Chasidy Sherrell Farmer, 305 Hightower St., Sardis was charged with expired tag and no driver’s license for a total $1,069.50. She paid $524.75 before court.

Qyndarius Gross, 740 Edwards Rd, Sardis, failed to show to answer seat belt violation charges with a fine of $75.

Cozell Vashon Hibbler, 309 W. Lee St., Sardis, has an improper parking charge with a $125 fine.

Samantha Nichole Hopper, 210 Wilkerson Dr., Sardis, had charges of improper equipment and expired tag with fines of $424.75.
