The North Delta Lady Green Wave advanced to the semi-final round of the MAIS North AAA State tournament Wednesday with a 63-57 victory over Heritage Academy in Columbus.

North Delta (20-9) trailed at halftime before rallying in the second half behind 29 points from Ally Alford.

Hannah Bollinger, Shelby Boone and Breck Brewer added seven points each.

Other scorers included: Eliza Morris, Libby Miller and Isabella Morrow – all with four points while Sydney Talley finished with one.

North Delta faces Winston Academy today at 5:15 p.m. with the winner scheduled to take on the Leake/Starkville Academy winner tomorrow at 2:15 p.m.

for the North AAA championship.

The top four teams will advance to the State AAA tournament next week at Leake Academy.
