“I can confidently say, from the perspective of your local elected leadership, that we need government built on a willingness to engage with, listen to and learn from others. We must be open to exploring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. I’ve modeled this approach while serving our community and have witnessed the positive impact. Today, I ask for your support and vote as I seek to bring a consensus-building style of leadership to the Mississippi Legislature as your District 9 Senator” said Frye.

“Counties and cities rely on the State to be a committed, dependable partner as we seek positive solutions to challenges and make important decisions impacting residents. We expect State leadership to proactively enact policies designed to level the competitive playing field with other states. Certainly, we can all agree there is room for improvement in Mississippi.”

A graduate of Leadership Lafayette, Frye has a long history of public service prior to the board of supervisors, including the boards of Timber Lake Homeowners Association, Theatre Oxford, and Young Professionals of Oxford. He served as president of the Lafayette County Bar Association for the 2017-18 program year and is currently a member of the Vestry at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford.

Frye is the founding partner of Frye Reeves, PLLC, a full-service law firm, and earlier this month was voted “Oxford’s Favorite Attorney” for the tenth consecutive year. Prior to opening his law practice he served as law clerk for the judges of the 3rd Judicial District Circuit Court. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. Prior to law school, Frye earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education.

He and his wife Ashley live in Oxford and have two young sons.
