A Batesville woman has been charged with stealing money from her employer while on duty, according to information made available Thursday by the Oxford Police Department.

Andrei Casey, 38, was arrested Dec. 8 after the business reported the alleged theft on Friday, Dec. 7. A representative of the restaurant signed an affidavit against Casey and she was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

She appeared in Justice Court Monday and bond was set at $2,500.
