Theresta Green-Flowers was born on Sept. 30, 1925, to May and Elmer Green, Sr., in Pope. Theresta departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at 5:45 a.m. at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Theresta leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Juanita (George, Sr.) Mister, Mary Jean (John) Simmons, Fredrick Flowers, Annette Flowers, all of Pope; Levon (Alberdean) Flowers of Batesville, Sara Delphine (Craig) Flowers-Dent of Collierville, Felicia Flowers of St. Joseph, Missouri.
Theresta also leaves 20 grandchildren, Timothy, Sharon (Michael), Cedric (Alecia), Eric, Anthony (Cassandra), Reginald, Rhonda, Travis, Kiwanis (Kneilah), Dimetrius, Paul, Patrick, Melissa, LaDonna, Crystal, Nicholas (Shelera), Tameka, Taylor, Tyson, a special caregiver, Cassandra Little; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, along with a host of dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Springhill Baptist Church in Pope. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary in Batesville.
Betty Lee Hall Robison, age 87, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018, at her home in Batesville. She was the widow of the late John Whitson Robison, Jr.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Batesville Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Betty Lee was born August 3, 1931, in Oxford, to the late Walter Lee and Blanche Elizabeth Hays Hall. She was a homemaker and was very involved in her community. Betty Lee graduated from Sardis High School in 1949 and married her husband, John Whitson Robison, Jr. on Oct. 5, 1952, in Sardis.
She was a member of the Batesville Presbyterian Church, past President of the Batesville Women’s Club, and she was also a member of the Sardis Women’s Club. Betty Lee also volunteered her time with the Heflin House Catering Group in Sardis.
Betty Lee’s loving memory will be cherished by her daughter, Cindy Robison Moreland (Chip) of Memphis; two sons, Whit Robison, III (Beth) of Memphis, Lee Robison (Wanda Carol) of Batesville; and five grandchildren, Walt Robison, Walker Robison, Meredith Moreland, Hays Moreland and Hallie Robison.
Other than her husband and parents, Betty Lee was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Hall Robison.

Funeral services for James E. “Jim” Wood, 73, Saturday, Dec. 15, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment will follow the service at Longtown Cemetery.
He died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at his home in Memphis. He was a Master plumber by trade and owner of Jim Wood Affordable Plumbing for 30 years in Memphis. He was a Baptist.
