Local attorney is prof at UM Law School

Phillips

Batesville attorney Richard (Flip) Phillips is serving as Adjunct Professor this year at the University of Mississippi School of Law. While retaining his position as senior partner at the Smith Phillips Mitchell Scott & Nowak law firm, Phillips is teaching Class Actions and Multi-District Litigation skills sessions at the law school in Oxford.
“With the team of lawyers we’ve got at SmithPhillips in both Batesville and Hernando, and Ryan Revere as managing partner in the Batesville office, folks are not going to miss me if I’m back at school one day a week,” Phillips said.
Phillips’ experience with Complex Litigation, including class actions and Multi-District Litigation, initially arose from his cases throughout the United States and Canada involving “vanishing premium” life insurance policies. It has since expanded to numerous matters that impact large numbers of people in Mississippi and throughout the nation.
