Gipson finished third in state powerlifting

- State powerlifting meet was held Friday, April 14 in Jackson. North Panola sophomore Jaylen Gipson placed third in the 308 weight class with a total lift weight of 1,350 pounds. His best squat was 525 pounds. He bench pressed 325 pounds and had a deadlift weight of 500 pounds.The first and second place lifters tied with lifts of 1,520 pounds each.
