A total of 228 volunteers picked up 890 bags of trash along roadsides across the county, Jackson reported Monday. Volunteers gathered at the Batesville courthouse at noon Saturday to dispose of the trash and enjoy hotdogs and prizes. Another cleanup day is planned for October.
