John Robert Green III

SARDIS––John Robert “Johnny” Green III, age 70, died January 1, 2017 in Holly Springs.
A memorial service was held January 7 at the Sardis Church of Christ.Hal Johnson officiated with Wells Funeral Home in charge.
Born August 31, 1946 to the late John Robert Green, Jr. and Norma Ailene McClendon Green in Sardis, he was an electrician and a member of the Sardis Volunteer Fire Dept. where her served as chief and coordinator.
Donna Jean Redd, 44, died at Baptist Hospital in Memphis on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
Funeral services were January 9 at Wells Funeral Home. Interment was in Surrette Cemetery in Arkabutla.
She was born February 19, 1972 in Marks to the late Lois Lavern Redd and Norma Lou Lane Redd.
She loved to clean and spend time with her family.

Rex Haynes

HORN LAKE––Rex Haynes died January 5, 2017.
Born February 1, 1950 to D.M. and Virginia Darby Haynes, he was a long-time member, Deacon and Sunday School teacher of First Baptist Church of Horn Lake. He attended Memphis State University and majored in finance and insurance. Haynes enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War Era and trained as a pilot.
He spent 44 years as an Insurance Agent (Owner) on Goodman Road. Most of those years under the name Brown and Haynes Insurance, but most recently under the banner of SouthGroup Insurance Services DeSoto. Haynes served as chairman of the DeSoto Civic Center Committee and spearheaded the establishment and construction of what is now known as the Landers Center in Southaven and was vital in the addition of the DeSoto Family Theatre. Mr. Haynes also ran the Bond campaigns for the construction of the ten newest DeSoto County schools.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, D.M. and Virginia Darby Haynes. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Connie Frazier Haynes of Sarah; three children: Noel Haynes and wife Sandy of Horn Lake, Stephen Haynes and wife Brandi of Southaven and Ginny Currin and husband Michael of Austin, TX; five grandchildren: Drew, Ryan, Hailey, Tate and Henry. He is also survived by one brother, Billy Haynes and wife Sandra of Hernando and twin sister, Rita Weeden and husband Harold of Southaven.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Rex’s memory to the 2020 Restoration Campaign at First Baptist Church of Horn Lake, 3505 Goodman Road, Horn Lake, MS 38637.
Services were held Sunday, January 8 in the Worship Center at Horn Lake First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Longtown Cemetery in Panola County.
Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia had charge of arrangements.

Grady Justin Moore

Batesville––Grady Justin “Jack” Moore, 38, a maintenance man at Crown Cork Seal in Batesville, died January 2, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday January 14 at Calvary Baptist Church in Marks. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved to hunt.
He was the son of Jimmy and Glenda Dover Moore of Mark.
