Gleaton got an associate’s degree in athletic training at Holmes, but it was the culinary foods major that sealed the deal.
“My top two choices were Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls. When I learned about the culinary arts school, that was a wrap,” Gleaton said.
The university sits about 20 miles west of New Orleans.
“It has a great feel to it. I chose it because they have a great Culinary Arts School,” Gleaton said. “It’s like the best in the state and it’s on campus. I can learn everything.
“I left with a associates in athletic training but I want more than that and I like cooking. I can do that every day and all day long,” he added.
