Tenn. police look to Panola

Captain Christopher Page with Bartlett Police Department investigation services division is looking for anyone who may have seen or knows anything about a black Ford pickup that may have been used to transport evidence of a homicide from Bartlett to the Courtland area, specifically on Highway 35 between Batesville and Courtland early in October.
“My office is currently working a homicide investigation and we believe our suspect, who is currently deceased, may have ties to the Panola County area. It is also believed that he may have transported evidence to the Panola County area,” Captain Page noted.
Perry was found dead at his Bartlett home October 11 with a gun in his hand. Perry was the last man to see Sanjay Patel October 3. Perry was a regular customer of Patel’s at 5 Star Wine and Spirits in Bartlett.
Patel is still missing and police found evidence on Perry’s phone that suggested that Patel is dead according to Memphis Channel 5 News.
Now they want to find Patel’s phone whose last signal came from the around the area being searched.
Sheriff Dennis Darby said a crew from Bartlett PD and his department searched roadsides for the phone with no success.
The vehicle is a black 2000 Ford F-150 extended cab (step-side) pickup displaying TN License Plate 45TF92 (Titans plate). The vehicle also has a hard top bed cover according to Page.
Evidence obtained by the Bartlett Police Department shows that the suspect was operating this vehicle in the described area at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4.
