Lady Tigers run-rule teams in summer play at Lafayette

The South Panola fastpitch softball team demolished Senatobia and Olive Branch in summer play at Lafayette High School Thursday after coming out of the third inning ahead by 10 in both games.
The Lady Tigers shut out Senatobia in their first game 10-0. Senior pitcher for the Lady Tigers, Darbi Smith, struck out the first two batters for Senatobia, followed by a caught fly by second baseman Haven Dulin.
Mallory Myers scored a run in the first on a bunt by Morgan Parker.
The Lady Tigers continued to score in the second and third.
In the second, Dulin and Chloe Morgan got on base with a single. Dulin scored on a double to right by Mallory Myers.
Morgan Parker loaded the bases after reaching first on an error. Morgan and Myers reached home on a single to center by Ali Cummins.
A walk by Taylor Utz drove in Parker for the last run of the inning.
In the third, Smith got to first on a single and scored after Morgan and Myers  were walked. Cummins’ single drove in Morgan and Myers scored after stealing home.
Taylor Utz walked and loaded the bases before  single to left by Dulin allowed Parker and Cummins to score, putting the Lady Tigers ahead by 10 in the bottom of the third, ending the game.
South Panola 12, Olive Branch 2
The Lady Tigers run-ruled Olive Branch in their second game at Lafayette 12-2.
Olive Branch managed to score one run in the first inning.
After scoring no runs in the first the Lady Tigers made it up by scoring ten runs in the second.
Cummins, Sydney Morgan, Dulin and Smith walked, allowing Cummins to score.
Sydney Morgan scored on an error after Olive Branch’s catcher made a bad throw to third.
Taylor Utz loaded the bases with a single. Chloe Morgan singled to left, batting in more runs for the Lady Tigers.
 Sydney Morgan drove home two runs on a double. After continuous walks and sinlges the Lady Tigers managed ten runs in the second after batting through the line-up, nearly twice.
Olive Branch scored another run in the second, leaving them with their only two runs of the game.
In the third, Myers got on base and scored on a double by  Cummins.
Cummins scored the last run of the game on a hit by Sydney Morgan, giving the Lady Tigers another 10-run lead.
