Brassell named special teams player of the week

Not much has gone right for the Nebraska Danger (5-6) over the past four weeks.  Nebraska has lost four straight games for the first time since the team’s rookie campaign in 2011.
Two of those losses have come by a single point.  Despite a 69-68 loss to the Blizzard in Week 12, one of the few bright spots was the play of rookie wide receiver/kick returner Nick Brassell (6’2, 200, Ole Miss).  Brassell, of Batesville, provided a spark on the very first play of the game, returning the opening kickoff 57-yards for a touchdown.
He would finish with seven returns for 190 yards, adding three catches for 26 yards and a score.
The Danger are on a much needed bye in Week 13.  They will return to action in Week 14 against the Wichita Falls Nighthawks.
