Imogene Dye Peacock

Imogene “Gene” Dye Peacock, age 73, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born December 4, 1942 in Bruce to the late Leroy and Lavern Tallent Dye.A member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in Panola County, she also belonged to the Ladies Auxillary of the VFW, and Eastern Star. She had formerly worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation in Memphis.
Graveside services were held Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Seven Oaks Funeral Home had charge.

Darryl Wesley Still-Griffin passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at his home in Batesville. Born in Batesville on March 24, 1958, to the late Hulet Wesley Still and Martha Lou McMinn Still, Darryl spent most of his life in his hometown where he was a well-known and valued hairstylist. He was the owner of Darian Color Studio. Darryl was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
During his years as a hair stylist and colorist, Darryl won many awards, including the National Paul Mitchel Colorist Award as well as being named Panola County’s best Spa/Salon for several years. He was an avid participant in the Panola Playhouse, volunteering his time and talents in the areas of hair, make up and set design and was an actor in several productions. He also served as a National Matrix Color Educator.
Darryl found joy in his special interests, which included decorating, one of his outstanding talents. He also enjoyed antique shopping, gardening, cooking, and going on Sunday afternoon rides, especially with his companion of 15 years, his husband Dane. He found special joy in taking part in his nephews’ lives and the lives of the members of his extended family who all loved him dearly.
Those to cherish Darryl’s memory are his loving husband, Dane Griffin of Batesvlle; his sister, Cheryl Still Singleton of Oxford; his nephews, Cole Whitten of Pope, Matthew Singleton of Senatobia, Connor Singleton of Independence and his close cousins, Dean Moganti of Madison and Rita Sparks of Memphis, Keifer Jenkins (Ashley) of Batesville; in addition to his beloved nieces, Ali Nicole Sergi (Pip) of Batesville and Jamie Brown of Batesville. He also leaves his two sisters-in-law, Reece Jenkins of Memphis and Sheila Brown of Batesville and his mother-in-law, June Griffin also of Batesville, as well as his great nieces and nephews, Tripp Sergi, Blake Sergi, Aldyn Sergi and Summer Jenkins.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville.
