Sardis Lake’s End of the Road temporarily closes

Vicksburg – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces that as of March 1, construction of a new gravel parking lot began on the Old Sardis Road access point on the south side of Sardis Lake.
Known by many as the End of the Road, the area is popular with local visitors and college students. It serves as an access point for portions of the shoreline between the Clear Creek and Coontown Recreation areas.
The new lot will provide a stable parking surface where erosion has limited access to the area at times.  Vehicle access will be limited to the parking area only. There will be access points for ATVs and foot traffic.
