Big Buck Contest Winners

Marcus Christon was the winner of The Panolian/Batesville Gun & Pawn Shop Big Buck Contest. His buck measured 69 inches with 18 antler points. The main beam was 27 inches with a six-inch base circumference and an inside spread of 18 inches. He was presented a Browning 270 rifle from Batesville Gun & Pawn Shop owner Jackie Pearson. Christon took the monster buck while hunting on the west side of Lambert January 9. It was an afternoon hunt and he took the buck from 230 yards with a Remington 30-0

Placing second in The Panolian/Batesville Gun and Pawn Shop Big Buck Contest was Patrick Robison (right). He received a Winchester XPR from Batesville’s Gun and Pawn’s Kelvin Marshall. The youth winner in The Panolian/Batesville Gun and Pawn Shop Big Buck Contest was Walker Thompson (right). He received a Ruger Model 10/22 22 automatic rifle from Batesville Gun and Pawn’s Kelvin Marshall. Thompson’s named was pulled from all the youth entries of the contest.
