SP Tigers split with Hernando in soccer

Noah Willis’ second half game-winning goal gave the South Panola boys soccer team a 1-0  win over Hernando Tuesday at Robert H. Dunlap Stadium. The victory evened the Tigers district record at 2-2 and 8-7 overall thus sweeping the season series from Hernando who fell to 6-4 on the year. Turner Rotenberry added the key assist on Willis’ goal.
Hernando earned a split as the Lady Tigers blanked South Panola 6-0 in the opening match. Savannah Bryant and Daleysia Hall had shots on goal for South Panola while Rebekah Garner posted 22 saves from her goal-tending position.
South Panola hosts Columbus tonight starting at 5 p.m. before entertaining Ripley tomorrow for the final home game on the season  with the girls beginning at 1 p.m.
