OAKLAND–Jeanette Taylor, 73, formerly of Batesville, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home in Water Valley.

Services will be held Saturday, March 21 in the chapel of Pate Jones Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Longtown Cemetery. Pate Jones Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Taylor, born Oct. 7, 1941, in Sarah, to the late Travis Nelson and Imogene Nelson, worked at the Ramada Inn in Batesville for over 20 years.

 She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Mitchell (Wayne) of Hernando, MS; son, William H. Taylor (Jennifer) of Oakland, MS; sisters, Sue Pittman of Charleston, MS, and Renee Brewer of Courtland, MS; brother, Don Nelson of Courtland; 3 grandchildren, Morgan Bennett, Thomas Mitchell and Luke Padgett; and 2 great grandchildren, Brooks Mitchell and Sawyer Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her son, John M. Taylor and her brother, Edward Nelson.
