ALLIGATOR–Martha Howell Briscoe, age 76, passed away February 3, 2015 in Alligator.  She was the sister of Linda Wilkes of Courtland. Funeral services were held February 7 at National Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Interment was at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope.

The daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred Howell, she was a member of the Baptist faith and of the Order Of The Eastern Star of Arkansas in Ravenden.

She is survived by her daughter Wendy Briscoe of Memphis, and four sons, Edward Briscoe Jr. of Hardy, Ark.; Joseph Mark Briscoe of Cherokee Village, Ark.; Bill Briscoe of Alligator and Sidney Briscoe of Kalispell, Mont.; two other sisters, Eloise Jenkins of Alligator and Elizabeth Mabry of Batesville, Ark.; one brother Arthur Howell of Clarksdale; 12 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Ms. Briscoe was preceded in death by her son Chris Briscoe.
