Louis William Aven
COURTLAND––Louis William Aven, 57, died Monday, February 9, 2015, at the home of her sister, Carolyn Roberts in Courtland. Mr. Aven had been living in Gulf Shores, Ala. just before moving back to Panola.

Aven, born Sept. 23, 1957, in Batesville, to Nancy Jane Foshee Aven of Courtland and the late Gerald Marvin Aven Sr., was a member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Gulf Shores and worked as a printer.

Services will be Saturday at Courtland United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service, beginning at 10. The Rev. Dewayne Scoggins and the Rev. Todd Pittman will officiate. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.

Survivors include: one daughter, Anna Lauren Allen of Roswell, Ga.; one son, William Peyton Aven of Hope, Ark.; one sister, Carolyn Roberts of Courtland; one brother, Gerald Marvin Aven Jr. of Courtland.
