Officers from three law enforcement agencies were on hand Wednesday afternoon when a subject drove away from an attempted traffic violation stop on Panola Avenue and soon found himself upside the Shriners Building on Highway 6 West. Soon after he was handcuffed and taken to Batesville Police Department while BPD’s K-9 unit was used to check for presence of drugs. Panola Sheriff’s Department investigators and drug task force assisted in capture and inventory while MHP investigated the collision.
