The Slappers put up big numbers in the beginning that made it hard for Holly Springs to come back.

In the first two innings, Batesville was on a roll, scoring 10 runs and could not be stopped.

The first two innings for Holly Springs seemed to be a nightmare because they could not get a hit. Batesville sat them down in order in both innings with four strike outs and two outs due to pop-ups.

In the third the Slappers got one run as the lead off batter scored. The second batter was put onto base, made it to third and was caught off the bag.

The next two batters grounded out.

Holly Springs had a similar inning as their counterparts as they put their lead off on base and eventually scored. The next batter struck out after getting the count to full.

The next batter got on base by way of walks and stole second and third and was caught on the way home which led to the second out.

Holly Springs loaded the bases and got their last out trying to bring everyone home but pop-up did not go far enough and was caught for the final out.

Both teams were hitless in the fourth. Neither team got on base more than twice.

The Slappers came out cold in the fifth and the side was retired with three strikeouts. Before the bottom of the fifth the time expired which led to the Slappers victory.

The Slappers went undefeated in pool play and tournament which gave them the first place trophy.
