In the youth football league, Panola County teams will be hosting the first round of playoffs Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m.

The 7-and-8-year old Pope Mississippi Bulldog team will play Sardis  in Sardis at at 9 a.m. 

The 7-and-8-year-old Batesville Tigers will host Clarksdale at 11:15 a.m.

The Bulldog 9-and-10-year-old team will play Lafayette at Pope at 10 a.m. 

Batesville 9-and-10-year-old team will host Marks at 12:30 p.m. Sardis 9-and-10 will play Greenwood at 12:30 p.m. in Pope.

Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., the 11-and-12-year-old Bulldogs will host North Pontotoc. The winner of this game goes to the Sugar Bowl on November 2.

The 11-and-12-year-old Batesville Tigers went undefeated on the season and earned a first round bye.
