Man charged in strong armed robbery has case continued

Judge Bill McKenzie continued a strong armed robbery case for a Pope man who was charged with using force to steal a purse on September 27.

Randall Holloway Jr., 534 Sleepy Creek, Pope, had attorney David Walker appointed during Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday. Holloway is charged with strong armed robbery, grand larceny and two counts of false pretenses.

The district attorney also has a hold on Holloway.

Deangelo Carr, 105 Lester St., Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for possession of controlled substance with intent to sell.

Joey Griffin, 2004 McNeely Rd., Courtland, had a no seat belt charge remanded to the files at Officer Greg Jones’ request.

Roman Milam, 611 Shiloh, Courtland, was found guilty of running a stop sign after the judge watched the officer’s video footage. He also had charges for driving while license suspended and no proof of insurance. He was fined $1,167.

Zelethia Roseborough, 163 MLK, Batesville, was found not guilty of simple assault after a short trial. Judge McKenzie ruled there was insufficient proof after testimony from affiant Latoya Fondren and the defendant.

Camioka Cooper, 206 Tubbs Rd. No. 3, Batesville, had a simple assault charge dismissed after the affiant, Latara Lawson, failed to appear to prosecute.

Carlos Thomas, 201 D Patton Lane, Batesville, paid his fines of $632 in full prior to court for disorderly conduct-failure to comply.

Howard Nunaley, 311Arizona, Batesville, entered a not guilty plea to disorderly conduct-failure to comply and resisting arrest. A trial was set for November 6.

David Towns III, 4329 Barnacre, Sardis, was fined $1,773 for false information, driving while license suspended and improper equipment.

Kenneth P. Petty, 435 Leith Lane, Derrider, La., was sentenced to time served for the 8 days he served in jail for possession of paraphernalia.

Charles Duplenchin, 3462 Duke Rd., Lake Charles, La., entered a guilty plea to shoplifting and was given time served for the eight days he served in jail awaiting trial.

Bobby Harrison, 821 JR Johnson Rd., Sardis, failed to appear to answer a shoplifting charge.
Johnny W. Alred, 201 James St., Batesville, entered a not guilty plea to DUI-other (second) and simple possession of controlled substance (two counts).

Alred told the judge he had prescriptions for the Xanax and Soma he was charged with possessing but did not have them with him during court. A trial was set for November 6.

Alred entered guilty pleas to driving while license suspended and no proof of insurance, charged on December 18, 2013.

He also had new charges of no proof of insurance and driving while license suspended. His total fines are $2,240.

Christopher Douglas, 223 Booth, Batesville, entered a not guilty plea to domestic violence-simple assault against Lisa Butler. A trial was set for October 30.

Jacqueline Aubrey, 128 Patton Lane, Batesville, entered a guilty plea to domestic violence-simple assault. She was fined $402.

Anthony Aubrey Jr., 128 Patton Lane, Batesville, entered a not guilty plea to domestic violence-simple assault. A trial was set for October 30.

Jacqueline Ladd, 325 Hays St., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to domestic violence-simple assault. She was fined $402.

Quentin Hogan, 325 Hays St., Batesville, was sentenced to time served for domestic violence against Jacqueline Ladd. Hogan originally had aggravated assault charges but Ladd admitted she gave false information to police.

Hogan was charged with misdemeanor.
