Barbara Sharon Barmer

COMO– Barbara Sharon Barmer, 68, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services were held Friday, June 14 at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Beadles officiated. Burial was in Fulman Cemetery in Como. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Barmer, born June 27, 1944, in Panola, to the late Edith Mattson and the late William Thompson, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Coldwater. She was a former cashier at Rascals Convenience Store.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Barmer Sr.

Survivors include: one daughter, Becky Scott Raburn of Como; two sons, Walter Lee Barmer Jr. of Senatobia and Jim Scott of Como; three brothers, Gary Thompson and Toy Thompson, both of Batesville and Clarance Thompson of Nashville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Linda H. Hardin

COMO– Linda H. Hardin, 64, died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at her residence.

Services were held Sunday, June 16 at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. John Howell Jr. and Kevin Crofford officiated. Burial was in Curtis Union Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Hardin, born May 14, 1949, to the late Howard Bert and the late Georgia Brown Miller, was the owner of Wallace Bait Shop. She was a member of West Marks Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Hood.

Survivors include: her husband, Henry C. “Buck” Hardin of Sardis; daughter, Kim Hood of Sardis; two sisters, Patricia Mitchell and Marilyn Perkins, both of Atlanta; one brother, Jimmy Miller of Tampa, Fla. and two grandchildren,  Leah Walton and Cody Walton.

Dorothy Anne Gallagher Klyce

SARDIS– Dorothy Anne Gallagher Klyce, 92, died Friday, June 14, 2013.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Como. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge.

Klyce, born Dec. 17, 1920, in Greenville, moved to Sardis in 1936.

She graduated from Sardis High School and attended Sienna College in Memphis. She was a member of the DAR, the Mississippi Cowbells, auxiliary of the Mississippi Cattleman’s Association and was a cradle Episcopalian.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Fred W. Klyce.

Survivors include; her daughter, Diane Klyce Thomas of Moreland, Ga. and son Steve Walthall Klyce of Sardis; two half-brothers, Charles C. Phillips of Boulder, Colo. and Hugh Gallagher of Memphis; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church or Sardis United Methodist Church.

Bobby Lewis Martin

OLIVE BRANCH– Bobby Lewis Martin, 61, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at his residence.
The Martin family will hold private memorial services at a later date. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Martin was born Jan. 25, 1952, in Tallahatchie, Ruby Nell White Martin of Charleston and the late Dewey Martin.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include one daughter, Kyra Martin of Olive Branch; two brothers, Dewey L. Martin Jr. of Jackson and Leroy Martin of Mendenhall; half brother, Michael Mooreman of Oakland; and two grandchildren.
