ND steamrolls Lee

Taylor Morris ran for 176 yards on only eight carries and four touchdowns as the North Delta Green Wave steamrolled Lee, Ark. 41-12 in a driving rainstorm Friday night at Marianna, Ark.

 Quarterback Tyler Pirtle added 113 rushing which included a 66-yard touchdown run on the Green Waves opening possession to give North Delta, ranked No.4 in the Clarion-Ledger Academy AA poll, an early 7-0 lead.

After Lee narrowed the margin to 7-6 on a Jacob Simmons two-yard run, Morris, who’s scoring runs came from 64, 27 and 26 yards, added an 18-yard run with 1:52 left in the first quarter for a 14-6 North Delta lead,

 The Green Wave would extend its lead to 34-6 at halftime on a pair of touchdowns by Morris and a 22-yard scoring run from Austin Hagstrom to close out the first half. Hagstrom chipped in with 79 yards on three carries as North Delta rushed for 378 yards on the night

North Delta improved to 6-2 on the season and will close out a three-game road trip next Friday at Carroll in a District 1-AA contest. Lee, who remained winless on the season at 0-6, hosts Bayou Academy.
