FORT MADISON, Iowa–James A. “D.A.” Henderson, 59, of Fort Madison, died September 14, 2012.

He was born October 24, 1953 in Sardis to the late Allen and Ida Bell Boss Henderson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 21 at Resurrection Missionary Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his son, James Jr. of Los Angeles; his daughter, Michelle, of Des Moines; four grandchildren; eight brothers, Frank , Merce and Mack, all of Waterloo, Will and Robert, both of Sardis,  Larry of Como, Miss., Clarence of Los Angeles, Tommie James of Chicago, and a sister, Katie Hurt of Detroit.
