Out-of-town guest seeks wallet, ring

By John Howell Sr.

A weekend guest in town for the 7-and-8 year olds state championship Dizzy Dean League tournament hosted by J. P. Hudson Park is trying to recover photographs and a ring that she lost when her wallet was lost or stolen Saturday night.

Spring Carlini told Batesville police that she was shopping at Citi Trends and believes that she dropped the wallet in the store. She returned to the store the following day, but the wallet was not recovered, she said.
She reported the incident to Batesville police whose report describes the lost item as a large pink leather wallet. Though the wallet contained cash and credit cards, the owner said she most wants to recover the photographs and a white gold ring with a white topaz stone. Carlini urged anyone finding a wallet of that description to take it to the Batesville Police Department.

Deputy Police Chief Don Province said that detectives are reviewing the store’s surveillance tapes to determine who might have taken the wallet.
