Peggy Ann Drannon

BATESVILLE – Peggy Ann Drannon, 75, died Wednesday, March 13, 2012, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were held Saturday at Dickins Funeral Home. Hal Johnson officiated. Burial was in Curtis-Union Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Drannon, born Sept. 22, 1936, in Batesville, to the late Jasper Peterson and Louise Hopper Peterson, was a homemaker and retired factory worker.

Survivors include: two sons, Bryon Drannon of Little Rock, Ark. and Ricky Drannon of Batesville and four grandchilren.

Memorials may be made to Curtis-Union Cemetery, 3115 Curtis-Locke Station Rd., Batesville, Miss. 38606.

Mercedes Lynn Roden Harris

BATESVILLE – Mercedes Lynn Roden Harris, the infant daughter of Johnny Harris and Sheila Lynn Perkins of Batesville died Tuesday, March 20, 2012.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 44 at 11 a.m. at Goodhope Baptist Church. Rev. Timothy Morgan will officiate. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Survivors along with her parents include: her grandparents, Carl Roden of Batesville, Jimmy Eubanks and Teresa Perkins, both of Oxford.

W.T. Hawkins

SARDIS – W.T. Hawkins, 73, died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at his residence.

Services were held Monday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery. Rev. Richard Teague officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Hawkins, born April 4, 1938, in Marks, to the late William Carl and Dovie Hollinger Hawkins, was a retired tree surgeon.

Survivors include: three daughters, Brenda Faye Hawkins of Sardis, Deborah K. Wilson of Conway, Ark. and Wendy Renee Slinkard of Marion, Ark.; three step-children, Theresa Sartin, Billy Lewellen and Patty Lewellen all of Sardis; two sisters, Nina Carmicheal of Byhalia, Linda Higgins of Greenwood; two brothers, Jimmy Dale and Billy Gene Hawkins, both of Water Valley; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mary Agnes Morgan

SARDIS – Mary Agnes Morgan, 84, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia.

Graveside services will be held Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grenada at 2 p.m. Glen Bownman will officiate. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Sardis has charge.

Morgan, born Nov. 29, 1927, in Union Community of Panola County, to the late Evie Goodwin Smith and Clarence Smith, was a registered nurse who received training at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She practiced her profession for more than 50 years. She served as director of nurses for hospitals in Grenada, Winona and Sardis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Red” Morgan.

Survivors include: two sons, Bobby G. Morgan of Huntsville, Ala., Chester E. Morgan of Blytheville, Ark.; one brother, John W. Smith of Hunstville, Ala. and two grandchildren.

Raymond D. Santiago

SARDIS – Raymond D. Santiago, 68, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at his residence.

The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Santiago, born Oct. 24, 1943, in Corona, Calif., to Virginia Delgadillo Santiago of Ontario, Calif., and the late Guadalupe Santiago, was retired after 30 years of service from the United States Navy having served as an Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare Operator.

Survivors along with his mother, include: his wife, Barbara Ann Rhodes Santiago of Sardis; one daughter, Rosana Rael of Nampa, Idaho.; step-daughter, Ellen Madsen of Idaho; sons, Joseph Santiago of Shawnee, Okla., Raymond David Santiago of Harra, Okla.; step-son, Mark Luttrell of Shawnee, Okla.; four sisters,  Lynda Rhodes of Byhalia, Ginny Martinez of Tucson, Ariz., Sonia Diaz of Ontario, Calif. and Luana Serato of Chino, Calif.; four brothers, David Santiago of Santa Ana, Calif., Remi De Santiago of Olive Branch, Tobias Santiago of Austin, Texas and Fabian Santiago of Ontario, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Flody Evone White

BATESVILLE – Flody Evone White, 88, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Quitman County Nursing Home in Marks.

Services were held Wednesday at Dickins Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Bolen officiated. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

White, born May 21, 1923, in Ecru, to the late John Thomas Poindexter and Nola Anne Young Poindexter, was a retired factory worker. She was a member of Crowder Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rual Larue White and her daughter, Anita West.

Survivors include: two daughters, Debbie Holland of Batesville and Trina Bailey of Lamberth; one son, Benny Larue White of Memphis; one sister, Zora Neal of Idaho; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pauline Williams

BATESVILLE – Pauline Williams, 66, died Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church in Sardis. Pastor Brian Odhiambo will officiate. Burial will be in Gailee Cemetery in Memphis. Christian Funeral Home has charge.

She was a member of Heart Generation Church, an evangelist and a seamstress.

Survivors include: her mother, Eddie Mae Gill of Memphis; five daughters, Janice Boga, Glenda Pearson, Rennisea Flowers, Patrice Murray and Shirhonda Myers and two sons, Henry Lee King and Hershel Miles, all of Memphis.
