BATESVILLE – Pauline Walters Scruggs, 82, died January 13, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Batesville.

She was the widow of Leonard E. “Buddy” Goodwin and Lilburn W. “Billy” Scruggs.

Funeral services were January 14 at Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Woodall and the Rev. Doug Pepper officiating. Interment followed in Forrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Scruggs was born January 26, 1929 in Panola County to the late Milton O. and Lenora Cooper Walters. She was a member of the Batesville First United Methodist Church and was a retired factory worker.

Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie G. Land of Batesville; her sister Jean Walters Taylor of Lakewood, Colo.; her brother, Benny E. Walters of Batesville; her granddaughter Camille Breckenridge of Batesville; two great-children, Sloan and Brame Garner of Batesville.
