Jeffery Glenn Aldridge


SLEDGE – Jeffery Glenn Alridge, 46, died December 24, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Graveside services were held Wednesday at Longtown Cemetery. Buddy Aldridge officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Aldridge was born Sept. 13, 1965, in Clarksdale. He was a farmer.

Survivors include: his wife, Tonya Aldridge of Sledge; two sons, Timothy Bullard and David Bullard and two sisters, Kathy Willard and Amy Selby of Askew and one brother, Lonnie Aldridge of Sledge.


Helen Grace Osborn Bailey

CROWDER – Helen Grace Osborn Bailey, 81, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services were held Thursday at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home had charge.

Bailey, born to the late William Grady Osborn and Ella Howell Osborn, was a member of Crowder Baptist Church, a homemaker and a farmer. During the Korean Conflict she served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Bailey.

Survivors include: one niece, Paulette Osborn Mask of Batesville, whom she raised as a daughter, one step-daughter, Katherine Bailey Bradford of Long Beach; three step-sons, Fred Bailey Jr. of Lambert, Glen Bailey and Van Bailey, both of Batesville; one brother, Wayne Osborn of Olive Branch; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Francis Marie Holloway


BATESVILLE – Francis Marie Holloway, 92, died December 27, 2011 in Batesville. She was the mother of Joyce Gemeinhardt of Batesville.

She was born November 3, 1919 in Marvell, Arkansas to the late William Alfred McDowell and the late Mamie Bohannon McDowell.  She was a lifelong resident of Helena-West Helena and a member of the First Baptist Church in Helena for over 50 years.  She managed the cafeteria at Beechcrest Elementary School and Central High School for more than 20 years, and then managed the Goodwill store in Helena for 15 years before retiring.

In addition to her daughter she is survived by three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Holloway Sr.; her parents; a son, Ervin Holloway Jr.

A graveside service was held Friday, December 30 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena.  Brother James Everage officiated.

Roller-Citizens Funeral Home had charge.
