A local college student is asking for help as she collects gifts to be distributed on Christmas Day to needy Panola children.

Masheetta Mosley, a junior at Alcorn State University, is using her church, Power House Church of God in Christ, as the base of her operations. She’s relying on her fellow church members and on her family to help, but is extending the opportunity to the whole Panola County community to give.

Presents should be dropped off at the Power House Church of God in Christ, 127 Hoskins Rd., Batesville. The deadline to contribute is December 22.

Mosley is working with a local agency to distribute the gifts.

She is the daughter of Lyndon and Cora Mosley.
