The Personhood Constitutional Amendment #26, if passed, will ban the killing of unborn children in Mississippi. The reason for this Amendment is to counter the law enacted by the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that gives women the right to their body in all manners concerning health issues.
Killing the unborn child is a health issue for the child, but not usually a health issue for the mother. The Personhood Amendment will stop the killing of unborn children in Mississippi, half of which are women. These women who are not yet born lose their rights to their body when they are killed. They do not get to choose.
When these manners are voted on, Pro Life usually wins. Pro Life supports life and tries to reduce the number of killings of children before birth. About 1,000,000 each year are killed in the United States. About 500,000 of these are women. When the mother and the unborn child go into the clinic, both are alive. Then the mother leaves the clinic through the front door alive. The dead child leaves the clinic through the back door just like trash.
President Obama even said in his speech at Notre Dame earlier this year and I quote “We must do more to support those women who choose to bring their CHILDREN to term.” Yes, I agree that they are indeed our CHILDREN, we should not KILL them.
We have a choice this November, 8th. I pray you will go to the polls and vote for the Amendment.
